GCE-India, initiated by BIRAC and funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, along with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is at the forefront of healthcare innovation. Managed by IKP, it aims to develop affordable healthcare solutions for diverse socio-economic groups, addressing key global health issues.
The program supports startups, researchers, and SMEs focusing on maternal and child health, mental health, and infectious diseases. It prioritizes innovation, societal impact, and affordability. So far, GCE-India has backed multiple significant innovations, with IKP providing ongoing financial and technical oversight to ensure these initiatives deliver lasting healthcare benefits.
